Legs: July 27th to July 31st, 2021

Hey, peeps! This week we’ve got a whole lot of legs. Legs for days, in fact. And finally… people again. I really do love drawing people more than anything else, so I’m happy to be back to it. That said, it was fun to take a break and work on the landscapes and the food series for a while. But people have always been where it’s at for me.

I began with “Mushroom Lady,” which felt pretty anatomically strong for me. When I drew it, I thought, “damn, this is the best body I’ve ever drawn.” I wish the color scheme had worked out a little better, but in general I’m so happy with that piece.

I moved on to some more amputations – focusing on the waist down. I love “Face Down,” and “A Little Too Cropped.” The colors work for me, the design works for me… The LEGS work for me. Okay?!

I’m so excited to show you what else I have in store. There are some upcoming pieces that I’m really proud to share. And speaking of sharing pieces, I just had some of my artwork featured at a real live ART GALLERY in Chicago! It was such a fun event, and I had a lot of support from friends and family who came out. Hopefully there will be many more events like this in the future.

What are your favorites from the week? Let me know! Message me on Instagram or contact me here. As always, be sure to check out last week’s post if you haven’t already.
