Hey, everyone! This week we transition from animals to landscapes, so say goodbye to animals for now. Actually, though, I think you’ll see one or two animals in the coming weeks because I forgot I was working on landscapes haha. But – it felt like it was time for a change.
Animals have been fun for me to draw, because they’re constructed in a completely different way than humans. A lot of them have so much detail – and odd shapes that humans don’t have. Tackling those obstacles was fun and refreshing for me, but I wanted to move onto something else – hence, landscapes.
Landscapes have always been super boring to me. To DRAW, I mean. I love nature and landscapes in real life, but I feel like I don’t have the patience for the detail. So – I decided to try my hand at it, to get a little more comfortable. And I wanted to make it fun for me. I think I found a good solve for that.
My favorites from this week are “Beluga Uga,” “Bonsai Ay Ay!”, and “Cotton Candy Forest or Whatever”. Also – I need to apologize for the shitty scan quality for this week’s share. I have to figure out a better way to do it. I basically am relying on my phone’s camera and the “Scan” feature in the Notes app. If anyone has other suggestions, let me know! Not trying to buy a scanner right now since I’m moving soon.
What are your favorites from the week? Let me know via the site or through instagram! Check out last week’s post as well if you haven’t already.
