Hey, all! I hope you are doing well. This week I’m happy to announce that we’ve got the introduction to the grid. Y’all have seen the grid patterns before – a little bit with the animals, definitely with the landscapes… but not really the grid on people yet. Right?!
I was hesitant to try out the grid on people – but I’m so happy I tried it. I’ve loved working with it, and it’s such a fun way to break up the skin, in a way that isn’t utilizing skin tones. I mentioned this before, but I’ve really leaned into using super vibrant colors for skin tones instead of the standard white, tan, black, brown, etc. I think it makes the pieces more relatable. Maybe not.
Anyway – I say “introduction to the grid” but really it’s the last share for this week… but it’s a good teaser, I think. It’s one of my favorites from this week’s share, too – “Right in There.” That one and “Why Be a Wallflower When You Can Be a Venus Flytrap” are probably my favorites.
