Hiya, folks! I hope you’re all having a good day. This week, we’ve got some more checkerboard creatures for ya. Koalas and komodo dragons, puffins and chameleons. They’ve all got checkerboards!

I’m not even sure I really addressed the whole checkerboard thing with you yet. I should do that. It’s nothing exciting – I just was trying to find ways to experiment with a new look/style, and I think I found it in my little checkerboards. I think it was inspired a month or so prior when I started coloring human limbs as different colors (yellow head, blue arm, etc.). I wanted to see how I could push it farther and landed on the checkerboards. What do you think?

My favorites from this week are “We Love Puffins,” “Something I Can’t Remember,” and “Save 15% or More on Your Car Insurance.” I think these all came out really well and the color works strongly in each of them. Also I’d like to note that I realize what I had drawn was a chameleon and not a gecko on the “Save 15% or More on Your Car Insurance” piece. I don’t know what I was thinking when I named it that, but… oh well.
