Well, hello!! Thanks to all who are tuning in this week – with the theme of shibari and the introduction of some more backgrounds. I’m so pleased that I finally started to incorporate any kind of background to these images. It was always just blank, with the little bubble decorations, but as I mentioned last week… it feels so much more finished with the circular backgrounds.

It’s not my intention with the shibari/rope bondage to be super fetishizing and kinky. I just thought it would look cool, and was an interesting way for me to explore bodies in a way that I hadn’t before (i.e. suspending from the air, tied up while on the ground, etc.). Even if it is sexy… so what?!

My favorites from this week are “Yeah, Cool,” “Masc’d for Femme,” “Suspended,” and my HANDS DOWN favorite is “Hanged.” “Hanged” just works so, so well for me, and it really felt like the beginning of a new chapter for my art. Backgrounds really be changin’ shit up!

I’m going to be on vacation starting tomorrow – I won’t be posting next Wednesday because I’m not bringing my laptop with on the trip with me. So, you’ll have to wait! BUT… I will also be posting pictures from my trip to Alaska, so that’s something to look forward to as well.
