Aurora Debut: November 2nd to November 8th, 2020

This week is the aurora debut! All aurora, all the time! I seriously love the northern lights so much. The first time I saw them was on my golden birthday in Iceland – they were quite faint but they were all over the sky. Later, I went to Scandinavia and saw them in both Norway and Sweden. They are such a beautiful phenomenon. It was so cold outside but I just wanted to keep watching them forever and ever. Instead, I’ll draw them!

I feel like I went through a few different iterations of what the northern lights look like in these pictures – I think “Don’t Fall” and “Upside Down Cake” encapsulate them the best. Coincidentally, those two are my favorites from the week. “Stretch Out” is probably my least favorite – while I like her face, I feel like there is a lot going on and it doesn’t feel cohesive.

What are your favorites from the week? Let me know! Shoot me a DM on instagram or message me through my site. Be sure to check out last week’s post and tune in next week for some more art.
