Hello, hello! This week is the last of stars for now. I thought last week that it was finished up, but this week truly is the last lingering bits of it. Goodbye, stars!
In late November, I was in Denver visiting one of my friends and doing a little road trip. I think being in a place that wasn’t… my apartment in Chicago, like I always am… I was able to open up to new ideas and explore a different style, after having been doing something similar for quite a while.
By the time I got to “Get Away From Me,” I remember feeling like I was finally on to something. I had explored the new style in weeks past, but nothing was really working the way I wanted it to. Once I got to “Get Away From Me,” the concept felt more solidified.
Aside from that one, I like “Night Life” and “Swivel and Spin,” but I will say – I think there’s a point when I’m in between styles, and I’m still trying to figure stuff out, that I feel a little lost artistically. In a way, it’s like I’m trying to fall back on what was working, but I’m wanting to branch out to the new style, and things just get a little… BORING? for me.
Which do you like? Let me know! DM me on instagram or message me here. As always, check out last week’s post as well.
